Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR)

Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR), monitors implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (1966). Its recently adopted Optional Protocol has not yet entered into force.

The CESCR Committee has produced guidelines for the participation of NGOs in their work: click here.

IDA (CRPD Forum) monitors the work of CESCR to ensure appropriate references to persons with disabilities
