The 44th Session of CEDAW took place from 20th July to 7th August 2009 in New York, in its 44th Session the Committee examined the following countries: Argentina(was to be examined, but requested a postponement); Azerbaijan; Bhutan; Denmark; Guinea Bissau; Lao People´s Democratic Republic; Japan; Liberia; Spain; Switzerland; Timor Leste and Tuvalu.
REPORTS
Eleven State reports out of twelve reviewed by the CEDAW Committee at its 44th session included references to women with disabilities. The list of issues sent out to four of the States and ten written replies to the lists of issues submitted by States Parties include references to women with disabilities.
All of the concluding observations adopted by the Committee also include references to women with disabilities.
