The International Disability Alliance stands in solidarity with the men and women killed, wounded and traumatized in the appalling attack in Sagamihara. Our thoughts remain with the victims and with you all: their families, their friends and their community. You continue to inspire our global movement to end hate, segregation and exclusion, everywhere. Independence, family life and community are cornerstones of each of our lives and all our human rights.

Our Alliance stands with all persons with disabilities and their families in upholding these rights, this dignity and this security. We mourn with you now and extend our hopes that you will collaborate with us in creating societies which embrace every one of us; in a world that celebrates the humanity, virtues and diversity of every community and every person.
