ANNOUNCEMENT ON CHANGE OF IDA CHAIR

Following the rotation system foreseen in its terms of reference, the position of Chair of IDA has passed on July 1st 2012 from Diane Richler to Yannis Vardakastanis, President of the European Disability Forum and Vice-Chair of IDA until now. At the same time, DPI Chair Javed Abidi has become Vice-Chair of IDA.

IDA members and Secretariat have expressed to Diane repeatedly our sincere thanks and appreciation for the strategic leadership she has shown during her two year mandate.

All IDA members and Secretariat wish the new IDA Chair and Vice-Chair all the best for their new mandates, as their success will result in the improvement of the human rights situation of persons with disabilities worldwide.
