Capacity building: teachers and staff
To organize teacher trainings in collaboration with government and private providers/DPOs to increase their capacity and inculcate inclusive education (teaching & learning) and assessment practices across schools and professional development institutions. We have initiated earlier such materials teacher guides/training manuals with STEP/World Bank –Just like Other Kids publications and puppet shows –Review of Manuals for inclusive text is needed and enabling environment/visuals in classrooms

Already working this for the next 9 months with Special education department government of Punjab to increase the capacity of government school/private teachers in assessment. We can extend this to a medium term effort with Special Ed Depts and DPOs/Teacher training institutions for development of such modules for all levels (ECE, Elementary and Secondary) Sightsavers have also worked on this –will be a collaborative approach through partnerships for accelerated targets and outcomes.

Inclusive environments in the workplace
To introduce equal opportunities for persons with disabilities and ensure their equal participation with dignity and without stigma.

Timeframe and/or implementation plan 
ITA endorses equal opportunities for everyone and will join hands with other civil society organizations/DPOs and industry  to demand access to and achievement of 2 percent quota as given – and also agreed in the new manifestos of political parties for decent work for persons with disabilities in the next 5 years (www.rtepakistan.org).

Commit resources to support strengthened disability data
Generate disability and gender disaggregated data set to inform wider reforms and scale of the problem through household surveys (www.aserpakistan.org). ITA is already working in this sphere with both donors and downstream partners for better sensitive data for planning and also assessment tools for hearing and visual impaired with some adaptations these may be used across many countries and contexts. PAL Network with which ITA is associated as a member is also working on the theme of inclusion and has 15 countries who can learn from this experience and technical expertise (www.palnetwork.org).

ITA is already involve in collection of data on disability by using Washington Group Survey. ITA will further adapt ASER Tools to Pakistan Sign Language (PSL) and Braille with videos and audios for testing children and collection of representative data set. This exercise has started and will finish with definite results till next April 2019.

To ensure through outreach education and skills Programs such as Siyani Saheli for Adolescent Girls (9-19 Years) targeting of girls with disabilities –this is a critical target group in our program in South Punjab, Pakistan- data from this work is being rigorously tracked (https://www.facebook.com/ITA.A3G/).

ITA already is working in the field in service delivery and advocacy campaigns on Right to Education ensuring that girls /adolescents are reached out and targeted through all of its programs nationwide (www.rtepakistan.org).

A major area of support in Humanitarian Crises for ITA since 2005 Earthquake and displaced persons.

Committed as part of a mainstream agenda on attention to inclusions disabilities in emergencies; ITA developed Individualized Education Cards/Profiles of each child to address PWDs and also for their placements during and post emergencies as transition populations (www.itacec.org).
