Development Cooperation Forum

The 2005 World Summit outcome mandated the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to convene a biennial high-level Development Cooperation Forum (DCF) to review trends and progress in international development cooperation. The biennial high-level DCF is one of the principal new functions of a strengthened Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) providing policy guidance and recommendations to improve the quality and impact of development cooperation and advocating greater coherence among the development activities of different development partners.
