"The Declaration establishes the main strategies and objectives of the campaign. Through this document, we've asked that Governments nominate and vote with the aim of promoting gender parity in international tribunals and bodies. We've also asked States, international organizations and bodies develop mechanisms, guidelines and standards to promote the equal representation of women.

"Prior to its publication in September, 2015, the Declaration was signed by more than 630 women and 50 men from 78 countries, including current and former members of the international tribunals and bodies, prominent academics, activists, lawyers, and human rights defenders, judges, public officials, governmental representatives and diplomats, journalists, and artists." - GQUALcampaign.org
