The Stakeholder Group of Persons with Disabilities was invited to be a panelist on the second day of the forum during Session 6: “STI for inclusive and equitable societies (SDG 10 and SDG 16).” The key message conveyed by Elizabeth Lockwood on behalf of the  Stakeholder Group of Persons with Disabilities’ was that to achieve truly inclusive and equitable societies, persons with disabilities must be meaningfully included in all discussions related to emerging technologies and considered in all stages of the development process. The statement promoted the key findings of the European Disability Forum’s “Plug and Pray?” report.
