The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the UN’s global development network, advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life.
The UNDP is on the ground in 177 countries and territories, working with governments and people to help countries build and share solutions to the challenges of: Democratic Governance; Poverty Reduction; Crisis Prevention & Recovery; Environment & Energy; and HIV/AIDS. UNDP also helps developing countries attract and use aid effectively. In all their activities, they encourage the protection of human rights, capacity development and the empowerment of women.
IDA's work with UNDP led to the initiative to establish a Multi Donor Trust Fund on Disability Rights.
