A Great Level of Engagement from Organizations of Persons with Disabilities!
Representatives of organizations of persons with disabilities and civil society organizations will be attending the session in great numbers, both on-site and online. They will participate in the Private Briefings with the CRPD Committee, as foreseen by the CRPD Committee’s informative note, available here.
We at IDA have supported OPDs from the 8 countries in different ways, among other things by providing comments and suggestions to draft reports, sharing information on the review process and on opportunities to participate. IDA collaborates with other partners, including the Disability Rights Fund / Disability Rights Advocacy Fund and Sight-Savers, among others, in providing technical, logistical and financial support to the OPDs Coalition “CRPD Platform” from Bangladesh, the Indonesia Coalition of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities and the Lao Disabled People’s Association and its allies.
