UPR pre-session 26 - participants in the UN

Five representatives of organisations of persons with disabilities from three countries (Timor-leste, Togo and Uganda) came to Geneva to advocate for their rights during the UPR-Info pre- session from October 5th to 7th.

The participants were:

  • Togo: Mr Mewe Fawi from the Togolese Association of persons with hearing impairment for progress and development (Association Togolaise des Personnes à Déficience Auditive pour le Progrès et le Développement) and Mr Alipui Nana Yawovi from the Association of parents and friends of  Encéphalopathes persons (Association des  Parents et Amis des Persones Encéphalopathes, APAPE) 
  • Timor-Leste, Mr Joaozito Dos Santos from Ra'es Hadomi TImor Oan (RHTO)
  • Uganda, Ms Esther Kyoriza from National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU)
