Launched at the Global Disability Summit 2025, the Global Disability Inclusion Report: Accelerating Disability Inclusion in a Changing and Diverse World is the product of a collaborative effort between the International Disability Alliance (IDA), UNICEF, the International Centre for Evidence in Disability at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), and the Center for Inclusive Policy (CIP). IDA coordinated consultations with Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs).
The report outlines six key recommendations to accelerate the inclusion of persons with disabilities in an evolving global landscape. It is funded by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), with co-funding from the London Stock Exchange Group and the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
Drawing on insights from global consultations, United Nations agencies, civil society, OPDs, and academic expertise, this comprehensive analysis provides pathways to accelerate inclusion. It emphasizes:
- The impact of global trends such as climate change, technology, and urbanization
- Legal, policy, and financial measures to promote inclusion
- Strategies for inclusive education, humanitarian action, healthcare, employment, and social protection

Global Disability Inclusion Report : Training Workshop
To support strategic engagement with the report and equip OPD networks to facilitate dialogue at national and regional levels, this workshop has brought together a group of facilitators from IDA member organisations. The workshop will help familiarise participants with the report’s content, deepen understanding of key trends and inclusion strategies, and build capacity to lead national and regional workshops around the theme of accelerating inclusion at scale.
The 5-day workshop is structured around three core components:
- Requirements and pathways for accelerating disability inclusion at scale
- Understanding and addressing global trends impacting inclusion
- Developing the structure and facilitation tools for national/regional GDIR workshops
