International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Geneva, 3 December 2011 – IDA joins the celebration of this day and takes the opportunity to appeal to States, the UN human rights system and other stakeholders to continue increasing their attention to the rights of persons with disabilities, and to ensure that all actions in this regard are consistent with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (the CRPD).

International Day for the Elimination of the Violence against Women
Targeted efforts needed to eradicate violence against women and girls with disabilities. IDA calls for urgent and concerted measures to eradicate violence against women and girls with disabilities worldwide, and to address the causes and effects of violence for the full and equal participation by women and girls with disabilities in all aspects of society.
