Juju and the Durga Puja festival during the COVID-19 pandemic

Juju is a young adult with autism living in North East India. He wrote a letter to his tutors and friends at Shishu Sarothi, a leading Non-Profit Organisation in the region, in which he recounts how he managed to turn his frustration about the COVID-19 pandemic into something beautiful and inspiring. It is a story about solidarity, creativity, and finally, the victory of good over evil.

The International Disability Alliance (IDA) strongly condemns the use of force by Indian police against a peaceful protest of persons with disabilities on 27 February 2014. The demonstration, occurring outside the All-India Congress Committee Headquarters in New Delhi, was organized to express opposition to an ordinance for a Rights of Persons with Disabilities Bill.
