European Disability Forum Toolkit on Inclusion of Refugees with Disabilities
The International Disability Alliance is pleased to share the Toolkit on Inclusion of Refugees with Disabilities in many languages and International Sign. Published by the European Disability Forum in February 2020, this toolkit includes information on international and European legal and policy frameworks, good practices, and recommendations to enhance inclusion and protection of refugees and migrants with disabilities. Designed in a consultative process lead by EDF, the toolkit provides information and practical suggestions specifically for Organizations of Persons with Disabilities to enhance their meaningful engagement in global and regional measures to protect and include refugees and migrants with disabilities.

Four key actions the Irish government can take to strengthen disability rights during its Security Council tenure
On February 17th 2021, Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs hosts its annual Civil Society Forum - Protecting human rights in conflict and the role of the UN Security Council. This year, the Civil Society Forum provides an opportunity for NGOs to dialogue with Irish officials on the contributions the Irish Government can make during its Security Council tenure to shape a better world, one that respects human rights, upholds the dignity and safety of all people and promotes a just world including persons with disabilities.

Launch of The UN Partnership on The Rights of Persons with Disabilities
New York, 9 December 2011 - Yesterday, six UN Agencies, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Office of the High Commissioner (OHCHR), the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), the World Health Organisation (WHO), the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), jointly launched, in the presence of high-level representatives from States, together with representatives of organizations of persons with disabilities and non-governmental organizations, a Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) on disability rights to support the inclusion of the rights of persons with disabilities within the work of the United Nations at country level.
