On Friday, 6 March 2020, the annual interactive debate on the rights of persons with disabilities was held in the framework of the 43rd session of the Human Rights Council. The debate was focused on Article 8 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on Awareness Raising.

Call for Submissions: "Empowering children with disabilities for the enjoyment of their human rights, including through inclusive education"
Following Human Rights Council resolution 37/20 concerning the rights of the child, it was decided that the next annual day of discussion on the rights of the child in 2019 would focus on the theme of "Empowering children with disabilities for the enjoyment of their human rights, including through inclusive education".
