Technical Workshop on Ensuring the Rights of Indigenous Persons with Disabilities in line with the UNCRPD
From the 20th to the 23rd August, the Indigenous Persons with Disabilities Global Network (IPWDGN), the Narok South Disability Network and the International Disability Alliance (IDA) held a Workshop on ensuring the rights of indigenous persons with disabilities in line with the UN CRPD, in connection with the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People (DRIP) and the Agenda 2030, with support from the Disability Rights Advocacy Fund (DRAF) and MFA Finland.

Opening of the 20th Session of the CRPD Committee (27 Aug to 21 Sep 2018)
Geneva, 27 August 2018 – The UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities opens its 20th session at 10.00 hours (CET) on 27 August, during which it will review Algeria, Bulgaria, Malta, Philippines, Poland, South Africa and The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

Call for Submissions: "Empowering children with disabilities for the enjoyment of their human rights, including through inclusive education"
Following Human Rights Council resolution 37/20 concerning the rights of the child, it was decided that the next annual day of discussion on the rights of the child in 2019 would focus on the theme of "Empowering children with disabilities for the enjoyment of their human rights, including through inclusive education".

Workshop on ensuring the rights of indigenous persons with disabilities in line with the UN CRPD, in connection with the UN DRIP and the Agenda 2030
