A 2015 study indicated that 75% of people with disabilities do not have access to basic necessities, such as food, water and shelter during humanitarian crisis. GCE-US commits to advocate for national and international policy and targeted interventions, which promote inclusive humanitarian responses and uphold the Charter Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action. GCE-US aims to continue to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in humanitarian contexts, as it relates to education in emergencies.
