The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies commits to ensuring that Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement rapid deployment in emergencies is adapted to address the protection of persons with disabilities.

Timeframe and/or implementation plan
Starting in 2018 the capacity of emergency rapid deployment delegates to address the rights and needs of persons with disabilities among the affected population will be strengthened through competency frameworks and training modules. The Humanitarian Inclusion Standards for Older People and People with Disabilities and the IASC Guidelines on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action will be adopted and integrated. WASH guidelines and programming to be accessible and inclusive to persons with disabilities.
