Inclusive social protection systems
The Jigawa State Social Protection Policy which has been hugely supported by Save the Children International (SCI) and Action Against Hunger (AAH) is intended to provide the much-needed institutional framework and coordination mechanisms to optimize the impact of existing and emerging social investment interventions as paradigm shift from realm of the traditional “basic social services sector” devoid of a deliberate policy that ensures maximum reach and impact of the interventions on core vulnerable groups.

Timeframe and/or implementation plan
The prioritization and sequencing of Social Protection programmes are set out in the context of policy measures, policy objectives and implementation strategies within nine domains. These are:-    i. Education and Health Services ii. Child Welfare and Protection iii. Social Housing iv. Livelihood and Employment v. Social Insurance Schemes vi. Social assistance vii. Micro and Small-Enterprise Development (MSE)  viii. Traditional Family and Community Support ix. Legal Support and Mediation.
