Policy, legislation and its implementation
Existing Act, Regulation and Policy will be strengthened and new legislations will be made in compliance with CRPD, current Federal Government System and also UN CRPD Committee recommendations (Concluding Observations) and resources will be allocated to implement it effectively.
Timeframe and/or implementation plan
Exiting Act, Regulations and Policy will be amended By 2018, New Regulation on the rights of Persons with Disability will be made by end of September 2018. To ensure the rights of persons with disability as enshrined by the CRPD Convention and the Constitution, New Policy and Strategy and Action Plan for next 10 years will be prepared by the end of 2018.
The Government of Nepal is committed to end all form of discrimination and stereotypes against people with disability. Access to Communication and accessibility will be ensured for the persons with disability.
