Policy, legislation and its implementation
- Implementing the Humanitarian Inclusion Standards for older people and people with disabilities and IR commitments for the Inclusion Charter and the Charter for People with Disabilities in IRW programmes.
- Developing a disability inclusion policy as an integral part of protection mainstreaming and implement this policy through protective, inclusive and accountable approaches to programming.

Representation and empowerment of persons with disabilities
- Establishing and strengthening active partnerships with DPOs platforms at both international and national level explicitly reaching out PWD’s representation at all levels of programming ensuring gender and cultural/ contextual sensitivities and supporting and capacitating local DPOs to strengthen and develop the disability movement.
Timeframe and/or implementation plan: 1- 5 years
Stereotypes, attitudes and behaviours
- Building capacity, knowledge and understanding of IR COs on the CRPD and protective and inclusive programming.
- Tackling stigma and discrimination through a clear faith and disability position and influencing existing initiative of involving faith, traditional and community leaders.
