Join Global Partnership for Assistive Technology
Motivation commits to providing technical expertise into the Global AT Partnership and ensure the voice from disabled people and our community partners informs the strategic direction of the Partnership.

Timeframe and/or implementation plan
We will do this on an on-going basis, over the life of the Global AT Partnership.

New programmes or services
Motivation commits to exploring how digital technology can revolutionise wheelchair design, manufacture and provision with pilot initiatives in India and Kenya to be launched in September 2018.

Timeframe and/or implementation plan
We will do this by using our new two year DFID-funded research and development project, to be announced at the Global Disability Summit. We will use this seed funding to leverage other funding and scale up work in this area.

New programmes or services
Motivation commits to engaging with numerous and multi-sector partners to promote greater understanding and awareness of both the importance of WHO-compliant wheelchair provision and the role they can play to support disability inclusion and the achieving of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Timeframe and/or implementation plan
We will do this over the life of our new Strategic Plan, 2018-2020 using all available opportunities including the Global Disability Summit.

Policy and guidance
Motivation commits to exploring possibilities to replicate technology transfer (currently being implemented in India in collaboration with the National Government) and, through the application of this model, building mechanisms for the national sustainability of wheelchair provision.

Timeframe and/or implementation plan
We will document learning and explore replication of our current Technology Transfer activity in India, over the next five years, with an initial focus on Kenya.
