Policy, standards and regulations
Leonard Cheshire commits to work with DPOs to engage with national governments, UN agencies, donors and other CSOs in the areas where it works to ensure that policy frameworks suitably include children with disabilities, meet international standards and fulfil the rights of all children to have an education. We will also commit to improving the picture of data of inclusive education and provide evidence on implementation and insight into the gaps.
Timeframe and/or implementation plan
On an ongoing basis, Leonard Cheshire will support DPOs to engage with governments and provide learnings and best practice on how policies should be inclusive. We will also work with DPOs to monitor the implementation of inclusive education policies in line with SDG4 and Article 24 of the UNCRPD through our SDG monitoring project.
Capacity building: teachers and staff
