Skills development for decent work
The Global Concerns Trust has worked with MACOHA (Malawi Council for the Handicapped) and KODO (Kuthandiza Osayenda Disability Outreach)since 2007, to offer comprehensive vocational training to adults with disabilities living in rural areas in Malawi. Our beneficiaries receive the tools and training needed to start sustainable businesses and the post training support to help them expand their enterprises. We will seek funding to expand our disability specific projects in Malawi to further rural districts.

Timeframe and/or implementation plan
By October 2018 we will have supported 355 adults with disabilities living in rural areas of Malawi to start sustainable businesses and become financially independent, 50% of whom will be women. We will work to source funding to continue and expand our projects in Malawi to include the provision of disability mainstreaming training to a wide range of international development organisations working in country.
