The Zimbabwe Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare is a government ministry, responsible for labour relations and welfare in Zimbabwe. The Ministry is the arm of government with statutory responsibility for the protection of vulnerable populations in Zimbabwe. It has two main Departments namely, the Department of Labour and the Department Social Services, which both consists of several divisions.

Zimbabwe commits to working progressively towards the advancement of the rights of persons with disabilities (PWDs), with a special focus on women and girls. Zimbabwe undertakes to domesticate the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and to expedite the formulation of an enabling policy framework for PWDs. Zimbabwe will also ensure the development of a comprehensive and practical National Action Plan for implementation through an all-inclusive consultative process and pledges that by the end of 2021 concrete measures will be put in place to guarantee the enjoyment of rights by PWDs.
