From 25 to 27 January, the International Disability Alliance (IDA) and the International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC), and its members, are hosting the Central American Technical Workshop on Monitoring of the SDG's in light with the CRPD.

The workshop counts with DPO representatives from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Panama, including self-advocate, youth and indigenous with disabilities; and is co-facilitated by Rosario Galarza (Latin-American Network of Persons with Disabilities and their Families - RIADIS), José Viera (World Blind Union), Victor Baute (RIADIS and WFD) and Monica Cortez (Inclusion International), with expert contribution of former CRPD Committee member Silvia Quan, and support from Tchaurea Fleury (IDA) and Elizabeth Lockwood (CBM/IDDC).

These four states will be reviewed this year by the High Level Political Forum, in New York, therefore, the workshop aims to exercise the interrelationship between the CRPD and SDG's and support DPO representatives to compile information that can be used by DPOs in their national reviews.

This training is part of the broader training support on the CRPD and SDGs led by IDA and IDDC.
