The International Disability Alliance and the International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC), with strong support from Disability Rights Advocacy Fund, SightSavers and CBM, are organising Module B of the Training of Trainers (ToT) in the framework of the BRIDGE CRPD-SDG Training Initiative. The training is supported by a catalyst program from the UK Department for International Development (DFID), as well as Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Government of Australia and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). Read more information on the BRIDGE SDGs CRPD training.

Summaries by day:

Module B covers issues related to public policy and governance for CRPD and inclusive SDG implementation. It will cover national data collection, public budget, budgetary advocacy, legal harmonization and the use of UN accountable mechanisms with two focus session on poverty and social protection. In addition, it also promotes inclusive facilitation sessions.

Trainees include leaders with disabilities from Africa, Asia, the Pacific, and Latin America, who are all involved in national and regional advocacy as well as in the delivery of BRIDGE CRPD - SDG. In addition, 13 invited experts and partners will attend some of the sessions, including representatives from IDDC (Sense International, Sightsavers, Leonard Cheshire, Light For The World, CBM), UCL, the International Centre for Evidence in Disability-LSHTM, Big Lottery Fund, and UK Department for International Development and Development Pathways.
