The Disability Inclusion Team is co-hosting a learning webinar with Inclusive Futures: the FCDO’s flagship disability-inclusive development programme.
On Monday 4 December from 10-11:30 AM GMT, women OPD leaders, speakers from Inclusive Futures and the UK government’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office will discuss how non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and donors can meaningfully engage with OPDs to deliver disability-inclusive development projects.
The Rt. Hon Andrew Mitchell will open the event that will share what works – and what doesn’t – in including people with disabilities in development and humanitarian programmes. The webinar will explore the experiences and learnings of FCDO staff, OPD leaders and Inclusive Futures when it comes to collaboration between organisations of people with disabilities (OPDs), governments, donors and INGOs. Panellists will share the successes and challenges encountered when implementing the FCDO Prof Guide on OPD Engagement, and experiences as women OPD leaders and highlight evidence, research and learning from Inclusive Futures on OPD Engagement.
