Majority of persons with disabilities, though qualified or not, seem very pessimistic due to lack of effective legislation, opportunities and everyday attitudinal barriers they go through. ADRAD shall address this issue by conducting counselling sessions for them so that they will in turn be advocates themselves as a part of our humanitarian initiative. We are happy to partner with other organizations.

Timeframe and/or implementation plan: Our implementation plan would include the identification of the qualified persons with disabilities and other seekers, doctors and psychologists and other partner organisations. Though we cannot confirm to the exact date due to Nepalese' context, we hope to carry it out sooner than later as it also awakens the mainstream sector in Nepal which seems very negligent now.

So-called persons without disabilities are not sensitive and sensitised about the capabilities of persons with disabilities. ADRAD is therefore committed to carry out various humanitarian efforts like campaigning, community level awakening programmes, etc in partnership with the organisations like Nepal Blind Association. We are very hopeful that with this effort we can build up an inclusive society in the country.
