The 51st session of the CSocD was convened from 6 - 15 February 2013. The CSocD adopted 5 resolutions and, thanks to IDA's advocacy work, all of them contained disability language. The resolution on ‘Mainstreaming disability in the development agenda: towards 2015 and beyond’ was entirely focused on disability and has a very strong development perspective. This resolution recognises disability as a cross-cutting issue, underlines the importance of a disability inclusive post-2015 process, encourages the implementation of the QCPR, and contains a very strong gender angle. The other four resolutions on family, ageing, youth and Africa´s development all included references to persons with disabilities
