December 6, 2023 - 8:00am to 9:30am

To celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities this year, the International Disability Alliance (IDA), the International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC) and Global Campaign for Education (GCE) are organizing a webinar titled ‘Disability Inclusive Education: A Call to Action to Ensure Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education’. This will be held on Wednesday, December 6 from 3.00 – 4.30 pm CET/ 8.00-9.30 am EST.

The webinar builds on the Call to Action for Transforming Education for Disability Inclusion which was released by IDA, IDDC, and GCE at the Transforming Education Summit in 2022 towards the implementation of SDG 4 on education. This webinar will engage IDA, IDDC and GCE members, partners and other stakeholders around questions of how the call to action can contribute to the effective protection of the right to education for all learners with disabilities and how civil society organisations can influence their governments, as well as multilateral institutions, and other national and international education stakeholders from around the globe, to endorse the call to action.
