Accessible Events Officer Consultant

We are recruiting an Accessible events officer to plan and deliver IDA's events and travel, with accessibility built in from the design stage rather than added at the end.

The role sits within the Finance and Administration team and covers event logistics end to end: sourcing and booking venues, travel agencies, sign language interpreters and captioners in line with IDA's procurement policy; organising visas, flights and accommodation for the Secretariat and its members; and ensuring that individual accessibility requirements are planned in from the outset and handled promptly and discreetly. It also includes preparing audit-related documentation and supporting the financial closing of activities.

Remote position, full-time consultancy agreement, 12 months renewable
Start date: immediately

Candidates should have at least two years of proven experience in the events and hospitality industry and be acquainted with the disability and development community. Excellent command of English is required.
