Represent. Advocate. Change.

IDA’s 2025–2030 Impact Strategy sets out how we will scale up inclusion and create the conditions for better lives for persons with disabilities around the world.

It is built around a clear idea: systems change starts with OPD leadership.IDA connects advocacy, partnerships, knowledge and capacity-sharing for OPDs so disability inclusion becomes a reality.

Our strategy is shaped by five objectives

  • Increase disability inclusion across global mechanisms and political forums.

  • Strengthen OPDs to achieve their strategic priorities

  • Drive innovation and practical solutions to persistent barriers

  • Build the evidence base for systems transformation and effective service delivery

  • Further diversify and strengthen IDA’s membership and collective impact

A group of friends with different disabilities is at a gathering. A blind man with a white cane and a woman in a wheelchair are present. There are persons without disabilities in the group. They are all laughing; there are plates of food on the tables. In the background we see trees and houses.

What guides our work

Across all our work, we prioritise:

  • Gender equality

  • Youth perspective

  • Mainstreaming

  • Localisation

By 2030, IDA will create the conditions for a better life for at least 800 million persons with disabilities, through OPD-led influence on laws, policies, budgets, and systems.
