Annual Report 2025

IDA’s 2025 Annual Report highlights how the Alliance advanced disability inclusion in an increasingly challenging global environment, marked by funding disruptions, humanitarian crises and growing pressure on international cooperation. Throughout the year, IDA focused on strengthening the leadership of organisations of persons with disabilities and ensuring that their priorities influenced global and national decision-making.

In 2025, IDA estimates that its work contributed to improving the lives, rights and opportunities of 23 million persons with disabilities. Key areas included the Global Disability Summit, CRPD and human rights advocacy, disability-inclusive financing, humanitarian action, climate, health, education, employment, social protection, knowledge and evidence, and strengthening the disability movement itself.

The report’s central message is that lasting disability inclusion happens when persons with disabilities and their representative organisations have the resources, evidence, platforms and political space to lead. Looking to 2026, IDA’s priority is to turn the commitments secured in 2025 into funded programmes, stronger laws, accessible services and measurable change.
