Annual Report 2025- Easy Read

This document is the Easy Read version of IDA’s 2025 Annual Report. It provides a short, accessible overview of IDA’s work and impact during 2025, using simplified language, short sections and supporting visuals.

It explains how IDA responded to a difficult global context marked by conflict, emergencies, disasters and funding challenges by working with organisations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) and advocating for persons with disabilities to participate in decisions affecting their lives.

The report highlights several key results: IDA supported 203 OPDs, contributed to improvements in 109 disability-related laws and policies, supported 904 OPD-led activities, facilitated participation in 55 major international meetings and events, and estimates that its work helped improve the lives of around 23 million persons with disabilities.

It also highlights IDA’s role in the 2025 Global Disability Summit, support for disability organisations in 67 countries, and work across health, humanitarian action, climate action and assistive technology.

The document closes with a clear message for 2026: persons with disabilities must lead decisions that affect them, commitments must translate into action, and OPDs need sustainable funding and strong partnerships. IDA will continue supporting OPDs, promoting disability rights and monitoring commitments made at the Global Disability Summit.
