CRPD at 20: The revolution of the ordinary

As we approach the twentieth anniversary of the CRPD’s adoption, this is an important moment for reflection, gratitude and renewed commitment. José María Viera, IDA Executive Director, wrote this editorial with a sense of deep appreciation. IDA's work is possible thanks to the trust, solidarity and commitment of our donors, allies and partners. Their support enables the leadership of organisations of persons with disabilities, strengthens the disability rights movement, and helps ensure that the CRPD remains a vibrant and living demand for transformation.

At COSP19, as the global community reflects on the CRPD at 20, IDA continued to bring forward the voices, knowledge and leadership of persons with disabilities. We do so with gratitude for the partnerships that make this work possible and with determination to continue advancing the Convention’s full promise.
