New York, 3 December 2013 – On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2013, the International Disability Alliance (IDA) calls on the United Nations, Member States, civil society organisations and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the full and effective inclusion of persons with disabilities in the post-2015 development framework.

IDA Press Release: International Day for Disaster Reduction 2013
Geneva/New York, 13 October 2013 – The International Disability Alliance (IDA) welcomes the International Day for Disaster Reduction, and appeals to the international community to address the exclusion faced by persons with disabilities in disaster risk reduction efforts and ensure that all actions in this regard are consistent with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD).

IDA Press Release: United Nations High-Level Week on Disability and Development
New York, 3 October 2013 – The inclusion of the rights of persons with disabilities in the Post-2015 Development Agenda was debated at the highest level of government during the opening of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly last week. It is the first time in UN history that the rights of persons with disabilities have been discussed within the framework of the UN political agenda. The International Disability Alliance (IDA) and its member organisations were well represented in a number of high-level meetings and side events throughout the week.
