An extremely successful Ethiopia festival was concluded last weekend, with Bridge CRPD-SDGs Sub Saharan Africa at its core. We had participants from 11 countries, where Ethiopian participants were joined by OPD representatives from Botswana, the Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Togo, Uganda, and Zambia, exchanging ideas and good practices in advocacy from their countries.
The Bridge CRPD-SDGs Sub Saharan Africa was organized with our member the African Disability Forum (ADF), its member the Federation of Ethiopian Associations of Persons with Disabilities (FEAPD), with the support of the International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC) and Humanity & Inclusion (HI).
Besides the Bridge CRPD-SDGs Sub Saharan Africa, we had the following workshops:
- Consultations on Global Disability Summit (GDS),
-
Workshop on Women with disabilities,
- Workshop on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) reporting in line with the CRPD,
-
Workshop on Youth with disabilities.
We now set to begin with Module 1 of Bridge CRPD-SDGs Iraq: stay tuned for more updates!
