On 14 January, an informal multi-stakeholder consultation on “Making finance work for a sustainable world in 2019 and beyond” was held at the UN Headquarters that briefed relevant stakeholders on the analytical and intergovernmental preparations for financing for sustainable development in 2019, and solicited ideas, suggestions and feedback for strengthening the overall approach and enhancing stakeholder engagement throughout. The Stakeholder Group of Persons with Disabilities took this opportunity and made a statement from the floor, which you can read here.

After our intervention, H.E. Ms. Inga Rhonda King, President of ECOSOC highlighted that persons with disabilities must be included in the FfD process and Co-Facilitator for the FfD Forum outcome document H.E. Mrs. Mariangela Zappia (Italy) expressed her support for persons with disabilities and youth to be included in the FfD Forum.
