Opening of the 21st Session of the CRPD Committee (11 Mar 2019 – 5 Apr 2019)
The UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities opened its 21st session on 11 March. During this session, the committee will review Cuba, the Niger, Norway, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Spain, Turkey and Vanuatu.

IDA Begins Follow-up Mission to Kenya, with the Participation of CRPD Committee Member Martin Mwegsiwa
The International Disability Alliance is thrilled to announce the beginning today November the 1st of its follow up the mission to Kenya, which will last till Friday 9th. The purpose of the mission is to exchange with all relevant stakeholders, including State officials, human rights bodies and organisations of persons with disabilities, on the main steps forward taken and the challenges that still lay ahead for the implementation of the CRPD and the CRPD Committee Concluding Observations adopted for Kenya in 2015.

Opening of the 20th Session of the CRPD Committee (27 Aug to 21 Sep 2018)
Geneva, 27 August 2018 – The UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities opens its 20th session at 10.00 hours (CET) on 27 August, during which it will review Algeria, Bulgaria, Malta, Philippines, Poland, South Africa and The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

IDA Conducts a Workshop with OPDs in Iraq in Preparation of Upcoming Review by the CRPD Committee
The International Disability Alliance (IDA) held a workshop in Erbil, Iraq, on July 10th to 12th, with representatives from the Iraqi Alliance of Disability Organizations (IADO) a member of the Arab Organization of Persons with Disabilities (AOPD).

IDA Conducts Workshop with DPOs in Rwanda in Preparation to the CRPD Committee's Review
The International Disability Alliance, in coordination with the National Union of Disability Organizations in Rwanda (NUDOR), conducted a workshop in Kigali on June 27th and 28th, to prepare the representatives of the OPDs for the upcoming review of Rwanda’s initial report to the CRPD Committee.
