Commit to use the Washington Group questions
In order to monitor the progress towards the goals set in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, especially goals regarding labour market outcomes and access to social protection of persons with disabilities, the ILO will contribute to the production of disability-disaggregated data by promoting the inclusion of Washington Group questions in labour force surveys and other household surveys.

Timeframe and/or implementation plan: The ILO, will promote the use of the Washington Group questions in labour force surveys at the 20th International Conference of Labour Statisticians in October 2018, and together with the Washington Group, will develop a labour force survey module on obstacles people with disabilities face in the labour market, by the end of 2019. Further, the ILO will provide the required technical assistance to national statistical offices and Ministries of Labour to support the collection, analysis and dissemination of disability disaggregated data.
