The meeting of the high-level political forum on sustainable development in 2018 convened under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council will be held from Monday, 9 July, to Wednesday, 18 July 2018.
This will include the three-day ministerial meeting of the forum from Monday, 16 July, to Wednesday, 18 July.
The theme of the 2018 HLPF is “Transformation towards sustainable and resilient societies” and the Goals under review include:
- Goal 6 Clean water and sanitation
- Goal 7 Affordable and clean energy
- Goal 11 Sustainable cities and communities
- Goal 12 Responsible consumption and production
- Goal 15 Life on land
- Goal 17 Partnerships for the Goals

Voluntary National Reviews
The voluntary national reviews (VNRs) aim to facilitate the sharing of experiences, including successes, challenges and lessons learned, with a view to accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. The countries up for review in 2018 are: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Australia, Bahamas, Bahrain, Benin, Bhutan, Cabo Verde, Canada, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Greece, Guinea, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Jamaica, Kiribati, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Mali, Malta, Mexico, Namibia, Niger, Paraguay, Poland, Qatar, Republic of the Congo, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sri Lanka, State of Palestine, sudan, Switzerland, Togo, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, and Vietnam.
